Describe the material
List the approximate number of files, formats and durations. Keep originals unchanged and ask for the appropriate intake channel before transferring sensitive material.
Confirm the deliverable
Ask what the report will contain, which methods are included, who performs the work and how limitations and uncertainty will be recorded.
Agree the engagement
Confirm fees, currency, timing, custody arrangements and any separate requirements for expert evidence before commissioning work.
